Terms of Service
Last updated: September 4, 2026
Vote2Give provides a platform for organizations to run fundraising campaigns. Supporters donate to the organization and may cast votes ($1 = 1 vote) to share their opinion. By using the service you agree to these terms.
Accounts
Organization operators are responsible for accurate profile information and for complying with applicable fundraising, consumer, and tax laws in their jurisdiction.
Voting and use of funds
Donations are unrestricted gifts to the organization that hosts the campaign. Votes record supporter opinion. They do not earmark funds for a particular option, and they do not require the organization to spend money in any particular way. How an organization uses voting results is up to that organization.
A vote that does not finish first — or any other outcome of a campaign — is not grounds for a refund.
Payments
Payments are processed by Stripe. Funds (net of Stripe processing fees and the Vote2Give platform fee) are transferred to the organization's Stripe Connect account. Withdrawals are governed by Stripe's payout schedule and terms.
Platform fee
Vote2Give charges a configurable platform fee on each successful donation. The current default is 5% unless otherwise stated in your organization agreement.
No tax advice
Vote2Give does not determine tax deductibility. Receipts provided by the platform are records of payment, not tax-deductible contribution acknowledgments unless an organization independently provides one.
